Acrylic Adhesives are usally two part systems, resin and activator or initator. They provide superior adhesion to plastics and are frequently used to bond plastics and plastics to other substrates, such as metals, glass and ceramic. Some suppliers refer to some acrylic adhesives as methacrylate or methacrylic adhesives. Acrylic adhesives normally cure in a few hours and can reach handling strength in a few minutes. Their shear strengths are generally higher than epoxy adhesives.
